This is for food lovers, by a food lover. I live in Murray Hill, a neighborhood on the Eastside of Manhattan. I’ve been living here for years, which has allowed me to try all the restaurants in the area. There are a ton of places to choose from, so let me share some of the best one’s around.

Everyone loves good sushi, especially in this area. There’s a new addition to the many Japanese restaurants in the area and it’s called Chado Sushi. This place is not cheap, but it’s worth paying the price as the executive chef comes from Sushi of Gari. Trust the chef and try his Omakase, his selection of fish with all his special sauces.

If you’re in the mood for some greasy food, there’s Carl’s Cheesesteaks. Over the past five years, philly cheesesteaks have become more and more popular. Their signature sandwich, which consists of steak on a hero with cheese whiz and onions, is the cure for any hangover.

High end Mexican food is possibly one of my favorite cuisines. Look no further than Biblioteca, which is a new tequila bar in the area. They have some of the best Taco’s NYC can offer. If you like tequila, the selection is incredible.

Chinese food on Sunday nights is one of the things I look forward to every week. After searching for years, I finally came across Grand Sichuan on Lexington Avenue. They make the classic American Chinese dishes, but I’ve discovered some of their traditional Chinese dishes, which happen to be excellent. It makes it easier if you’re with a friend who is of Asian decent.

For a hidden gem, check out Barbes. Barbes is a French-Moroccan cuisine and the main courses range from $20 – $30. It’s a real intimate and dark spot, so if you’re looking for a date spot, this is a great option.

Large parties must attend Patsy’s Pizzeria. This family style Italian restraint makes great pizza, pasta and salads. It’s very easy to go with big groups and it’s a laid back atmosphere. Nobody will leave hungry!

If you’re into food, you’ll be happy with each of these suggestions. I’m getting hungry just thinking about them. I hoping you get a chance to check these places out and enjoy as much as I have!
