You probably have noticed the term Private Label Rights (PLR) in your research online. PLR articles are simply articles that others have written that you can buy (either in packages or as part of a membership) to use in your internet business. The best part is that you can edit the articles and use them as if you’d written them yourself.

Why not just hire a ghostwriter or use free reprint articles? Well, unlike ghostwritten articles, PLR articles only cost between $1-$2 each – whereas good quality ghostwritten articles can be as much as $15-$30 or more. And, if you compare PLR to free reprint articles, unlike articles from places like EzineArticles.com or LadyPens.com, you do not need to link back to the author. So, you can keep all of your traffic instead of sending it off to the author of the article.

Most of us can understand the value of buying PLR articles and adding them to our blogs. However, PLR articles have much more flexibility than that. I’d like to get into a few of the more lucrative ways you can use PLR articles in your online business.

1. Use them to create your weekly newsletter. How many times have you sat down to write and send your weekly newsletter and gone blank? You don’t have to any longer. Simply go to your PLR folder on your computer and search for a topic. Grab the PLR article and paste it into your newsletter. Add some of your own thoughts to it and you’re ready to send a valuable ezine to your list in minutes.

2. Create an ecourse. It’s pretty simple to turn a PLR article or set of articles into an ecourse simply by loading them to your autoresponder. Start with something as simple as an article entitled “7 Ways to Get More Web Traffic”. Turn that into a 7 day ecourse that you can use to grow a list… and profit.

3. Send them in a print mailing. Direct mailing is huge. If you have a list of postal mailing addresses, put together a free report or print newsletter from PLR articles and send it out. It’s certainly a lot easier to stand out in the minds of your customers when your name and face is looking at them from their desk than it is to be just another name in their email inboxes. Wouldn’t you agree? It’s easy if you use PLR for parts of it.

4. Record a “how to” video. Quite a large number of videos on YouTube have been started from PLR articles. Why not? The PLR provider has basically given you an outline and talking points. All you have to do is to hit the “record” button.

5. Write a book. Did you know that a number of the non-fiction books on Amazon.com contain PLR articles in them? It’s a fact. I know because my customers have told me that they’ve used my PLR content in their books. Buy a report or article from a PLR site and use it as the foundation for a chapter in your book. It will save you time and make your book a reality a lot sooner.

Are your wheels spinning? It’s easy to see the potential profits to be made by using PLR articles. The most difficult part of the process is finding a PLR site that provides the quality content that you’re looking for. Don’t be afraid to look around. You’re certain to find top-notch PLR providers that you’ll love. But, don’t just close this and do nothing with the information. Use it and profit.
